Sahih International When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness]
Transliteration Wa-itha annujoomu inkadarat
Sahih International And when the stars fall, dispersing,
Transliteration Wa-itha aljibalu suyyirat
Sahih International And when the mountains are removed
Transliteration Wa-itha alAAisharu AAuttilat
Sahih International And when full-term she-camels are neglected
Transliteration Wa-itha alwuhooshu hushirat
Sahih International And when the wild beasts are gathered
Transliteration Wa-itha albiharu sujjirat
Sahih International And when the seas are filled with flame
Transliteration Wa-itha annufoosu zuwwijat
Sahih International And when the souls are paired
Transliteration Wa-itha almawoodatu su-ilat
Sahih International And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked
Transliteration Bi-ayyi thanbin qutilat
Sahih International For what sin she was killed
Transliteration Wa-itha assuhufunushirat
Sahih International And when the pages are made public
Transliteration Wa-itha assamao kushitat
Sahih International And when the sky is stripped away
Transliteration Wa-itha aljaheemu suAAAAirat
Sahih International And when Hellfire is set ablaze
Transliteration Wa-itha aljannatu ozlifat
Sahih International And when Paradise is brought near,
Transliteration AAalimat nafsun ma ahdarat
Sahih International A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it].
Transliteration Fala oqsimu bilkhunnas
Sahih International So I swear by the retreating stars -
Transliteration Aljawari alkunnas
Sahih International Those that run [their courses] and disappear -
Transliteration Wallayli itha AAasAAas
Sahih International And by the night as it closes in
Transliteration Wassubhi ithatanaffas
Sahih International And by the dawn when it breathes
Transliteration Innahu laqawlu rasoolin kareem
Sahih International [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger
Transliteration Thee quwwatin AAinda theealAAarshi makeen
Sahih International [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position],
Transliteration MutaAAin thamma ameen
Sahih International Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy.
Transliteration Wama sahibukum bimajnoon
Sahih International And your companion is not [at all] mad.
Transliteration Walaqad raahu bilofuqialmubeen
Sahih International And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon.
Transliteration Wama huwa AAala alghaybi bidaneen
Sahih International And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen.
Transliteration Wama huwa biqawli shaytaninrajeem
Sahih International And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens].
Transliteration Faayna tathhaboon
Sahih International So where are you going?
Transliteration In huwa illa thikrun lilAAalameen
Sahih International It is not except a reminder to the worlds
Transliteration Liman shaa minkum an yastaqeem
Sahih International For whoever wills among you to take a right course.
Transliteration Wama tashaoona illa anyashaa Allahu rabbu alAAalameen
Sahih International And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds.
