Sahih International About what are they asking one another?
Transliteration AAani annaba-i alAAatheem
Sahih International About the great news -
Transliteration Allathee hum feehi mukhtalifoon
Sahih International That over which they are in disagreement.
Transliteration Kalla sayaAAlamoon
Sahih International No! They are going to know.
Transliteration Thumma kalla sayaAAlamoon
Sahih International Then, no! They are going to know.
Transliteration Alam najAAali al-arda mihada
Sahih International Have We not made the earth a resting place?
Transliteration Waljibala awtada
Sahih International And the mountains as stakes?
Transliteration Wakhalaqnakum azwaja
Sahih International And We created you in pairs
Transliteration WajaAAalna nawmakum subata
Sahih International And made your sleep [a means for] rest
Transliteration WajaAAalna allayla libasa
Sahih International And made the night as clothing
Transliteration WajaAAalna annaharamaAAasha
Sahih International And made the day for livelihood
Transliteration Wabanayna fawqakum sabAAan shidada
Sahih International And constructed above you seven strong [heavens]
Transliteration WajaAAalna sirajan wahhaja
Sahih International And made [therein] a burning lamp
Transliteration Waanzalna mina almuAAsiratimaan thajjaja
Sahih International And sent down, from the rain clouds, pouring water
Transliteration Linukhrija bihi habban wanabata
Sahih International That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation
Transliteration Wajannatin alfafa
Sahih International And gardens of entwined growth.
Transliteration Inna yawma alfasli kana meeqata
Sahih International Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time -
Transliteration Yawma yunfakhu fee assoorifata/toona afwaja
Sahih International The Day the Horn is blown and you will come forth in multitudes
Transliteration Wafutihati assamao fakanatabwaba
Sahih International And the heaven is opened and will become gateways
Transliteration Wasuyyirati aljibalu fakanatsaraba
Sahih International And the mountains are removed and will be [but] a mirage.
Transliteration Inna jahannama kanat mirsada
Sahih International Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait
Transliteration Littagheena maaba
Sahih International For the transgressors, a place of return,
Transliteration Labitheena feeha ahqaba
Sahih International In which they will remain for ages [unending].
Transliteration La yathooqoona feehabardan wala sharaba
Sahih International They will not taste therein [any] coolness or drink
Transliteration Illa hameeman waghassaqa
Sahih International Except scalding water and [foul] purulence -
Transliteration Jazaan wifaqa
Sahih International An appropriate recompense.
Transliteration Innahum kanoo la yarjoona hisaba
Sahih International Indeed, they were not expecting an account
Transliteration Wakaththaboo bi-ayatinakiththaba
Sahih International And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial.
Transliteration Wakulla shay-in ahsaynahu kitaba
Sahih International But all things We have enumerated in writing.
Transliteration Fathooqoo falan nazeedakum illaAAathaba
Sahih International "So taste [the penalty], and never will We increase you except in torment."
Transliteration Inna lilmuttaqeena mafaza
Sahih International Indeed, for the righteous is attainment -
Transliteration Hada-iqa waaAAnaba
Sahih International Gardens and grapevines
Transliteration WakawaAAiba atraba
Sahih International And full-breasted [companions] of equal age
Transliteration Waka/san dihaqa
Sahih International And a full cup.
Transliteration La yasmaAAoona feeha laghwanwala kiththaba
Sahih International No ill speech will they hear therein or any falsehood -
Transliteration Jazaan min rabbika AAataan hisaba
Sahih International [As] reward from your Lord, [a generous] gift [made due by] account,
Transliteration Rabbi assamawati wal-ardiwama baynahuma arrahmani layamlikoona minhu khitaba
Sahih International [From] the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Most Merciful. They possess not from Him [authority for] speech.
Transliteration Yawma yaqoomu arroohu walmala-ikatusaffan la yatakallamoona illa man athinalahu arrahmanu waqala sawaba
Sahih International The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand in rows, they will not speak except for one whom the Most Merciful permits, and he will say what is correct.
Transliteration Thalika alyawmu alhaqqu famanshaa ittakhatha ila rabbihi maaba
Sahih International That is the True Day; so he who wills may take to his Lord a [way of] return.
Transliteration Inna antharnakum AAathabanqareeban yawma yanthuru almaro ma qaddamatyadahu wayaqoolu alkafiru ya laytanee kuntuturaba
Sahih International Indeed, We have warned you of a near punishment on the Day when a man will observe what his hands have put forth and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish that I were dust!"
